Job Description: What We Are Looking For
This position supportsthe Director of Space Planning & Interior Design, the Campus Space Planning Manager, along with the entire Facilities Management Department, and is responsible for maintaining, updating, and ensuring accuracy of all electronic and printed files of Baylor owned or leased buildings of architectural drawings in Revit and AutoCAD and keeping the Record Drawing Files updated. This role facilitates the gathering and implementation of space changes and information from all completed projects either commissioned or completed by a project manager, and space use changes across the campus, and keeps it updated in the appropriate computer database.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, two years of relevant work experience, and a Christian faith are required. A combination of education and/or experience to equal four years will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
CAFM experience is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Practical knowledge associated with laser scanning, use of point clouds in Revit and Navisworks
Preferred experience in architecture and understand building design and construction documentation
Have excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with working in a higher education environment is preferred
Driver's License - Must have a valid driver's license
What You Will Do
Facilities space information management with broad knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
Provide electronic plans and BIM (Building Information Modeling) models to building trades, in-house personnel, and outside contractors engaged in the planning, design, and/or execution of new construction or renovations
Oversee periodic verification of space (i.e., walk all University interior space) to keep the data in CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) and other systems accurate and up to date
Support the ISSG (Institutional Space Support Group) and CAPG (Capital Asset Planning Group) with space allocation information, floorplans, and other products
Prepare and deliver written, oral, and graphic presentations for executive-level audiences
Manage the license and registration renewal for all departmental computers with Autodesk and Bluebeam, and other associated software or subscriptions as necessary
Manage the required upkeep for the plotter and other hardware devices, including maintenance oversight, replacing ink cartridges, and keeping paper in stock
Work with the FM staff to maintain digital plans, PDFs, scanned drawings, digital files, and information of all buildings and infrastructure systems, from current and past projects
Partner with project managers and commissioning agents to retrieve all project digital data
Work with the General Contractor's BIM Managers to retrieve all digital data in correct file format according to the Baylor BIM Standards
Maintain all University building names/codes, room names, room numbers, departments, FICM (Facilities Inventory and Classification Manual) codes, etc. updated in the Record Drawings Files
Collect, review, and analyze space inventory data through coordination with faculty and staff at all levels of the University and across all divisions and departments
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
